Summary of Service
Centacare Sexual Assault Service provides counselling and support to women aged 14 years and over and men aged 15 years and over whose lives have been impacted because of sexual violence. Experienced practitioners provide service from intake to exit from the service.
Programs and Initiatives
Services offered:
- Goal orientated counselling and support (support includes but is not limited to victim assist, preparation for court proceedings, victim impact statements, advocacy with external agencies).
- Community Education and awareness.
No fees are charged for this service.
Emergency Relief
We are currently providers of transitional emergency relief and our clients have first preference to these funds b way of food and petrol vouchers. When these funds are exhausted we will be able to assist with referral pathways to Emergency Relief providers in the local area.
