The Victorian government said the historic apology will be delivered in parliament later this year.

It said the apology will include all forms of abuse in institutional settings.

This is an important first step but there needs to be real action to support the prevention of sexual violence and accountability for perpetrators.

"A recent Australian Institute of Criminology report found three quarters of online daters had been subject to some kind of online sexual violence in the past five years, and a third had experienced abuse in person."

We look forward to opportunities for QSAN to be involved in future consultations.
